Looking around our world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with the problems that we are facing as people. Whenever terms like war, racism, genocide, corruption, exploitation, or slavery are mentioned, we can all think of recent examples from this morning’s newspaper or the evening news of how these things are happening in our world.
As a Christian, I would love the chance to share with significant world leaders about the difference that Christ has made in my life, and to urge them to lay down their pride and greed to follow Him as well. But which world leader would let me through their door?
As a Christian on a university campus, I have access to the future leaders of our world at a time when they are most open to the message of Jesus. Whether the country is Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Thailand, France, or Canada, chances are that their future leaders politically, socially, or in business will wind up on a university campus for a couple of years.
I can’t think of a more important place for us to be as Christians! The students that I share Christ with will go on to lead in different spheres throughout the whole world, and with them they will carry the lessons they learned on their university campus.
